We Can Fix It
A few years ago while listening to a podcast with my favorite expert in metabolism, Dr. Cate Shanahan, I heard something that I had never heard before. Dr. Cate made the statement that most people carry around on their bodies 45,000 calories just waiting to be burned for energy. While many of us are counting calories and are trying to stay around 2,000 a day, we have 45,000 stored and available to use! The sad reality for most people is that they are not able to access this abundance of energy. Because of a damaged, unhealthy metabolism, burning our body fat is out of reach. Instead, we carry it around, adding to it and are dismayed to see that no matter what we try, we can't get rid of it.
The "Sugar-Burner" Trap
When your cells are damaged and not functioning the way nature intended, they lose the ability to access you body fat for fuel. This forces you to rely entirely on sugar, leading to the "hangry" cycles and blood sugar spikes that define insulin resistance and prediabetes.
Data over Destiny
Your A1C is just a snapshot of this metabolic struggle. You can restore your body's ability to use its own fat stores, often leading to 100% remission of insulin resistance and prediabetes.
Small Strategic Shifts
Focusing on stabilizing your internal chemistry without the side effects of damaging medications.
Partnering for Power
You aren't just "watching what you eat". Together we are retraining your mitochondria to become efficient energy-making machines again.
